Supervises and coordinates the activities of production workers. Directly supervises 7 to 30 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, union contract, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Enforce safety guidelines and applicable procedures. Review job safety analysis (JSA) with employees to ensure employee comprehension. Respond to unsafe conditions (either correct or contact Maintenance). Respond to all incidents within their department (Level 1 investigation). Shut down processes if unsafe.
Candidates shall be a high school graduate with 3 to 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience; demonstrated mechanical aptitude; knowledge of mechanical hand and power tools; speak, read and write the English language; proficient with Microsoft® Office Software Suite; operational capability with Microsoft Project Management software a plus.
