  • Overview

    The objective of the Pricing Analyst role is to partner with Manchester Tank's Sales, Operations and Finance teams to maximize margin by leveraging market intelligence, internal product cost expertise, and the Sales team’s market insights to develop and facilitate pricing strategies designed to win and optimize Manchester Tank's revenue.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain process to capture and analyze market pricing intelligence across various product lines, regions, and sales channels
    • Lead execution of Manchester Tank's overall pricing strategy – support Sales team in strategy development
    • Support Sales team by developing ad-hoc pricing proposals based on market intelligence, product cost knowledge, and account strategies; followed by implementation
    • Perform pricing analysis to identify underlying drivers of revenue/margin trends and to support the development of account strategies
    • Understand all pricing agreements; maintain quarterly price adjustment models and ensure on-time, accurate pricing updates
    • Lead pricing projects to improve existing processes
    • Monitor cost and material fluctuations to ensure margin protection through corresponding pricing actions
    • Review market trends for pricing opportunities to optimize revenues
    • Support sales promotions: providing pricing options, manage promotional pricing, and provide post-promotion analysis
    • Collaborate with senior management to implement new pricing initiatives

    Qualifications

    • Exceptional Excel and analytic skills; exceptional attention to detail
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Highly curious with a love for numbers
    • Ability to lead meetings and prepare presentations
    • Commitment to execution and achieving goals – ability to multitask, work under pressure, and hit deadlines
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar
    • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, pricing and/or estimating/quoting capacity
