  • Overview

    The Product Owner has a key role within the IT department in supporting and improving existing business processes and systems. The Product Owner is involved in planning, organizing and conducting detailed analytical studies to define problems, identify deficiencies and improve solutions which impact the organization’s effectiveness, and provide the basis for issue resolution. They collaborate with users to define business requirements for system enhancements and new functionalities to achieve process improvements.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide functional assistance of internal customers, both remotely and on-site/in person.
    • Collaborate with Corporate support teams to troubleshoot issues to determine root cause of problems with product.
    • Analyze and document the system needs to help identify problems and propose solutions.
    • Review and approve functional design documents, unit test review documents, and system test documents.
    • Develop UAT test cases and ensure they are documented properly.
    • Oversee UAT testing and work with business users regarding any issues that surface.
    • Improve business processes.
    • Partner with Corporate team and internal customers to plan and schedule implementations.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business Management is required, a Master’s Degree is preferred.
    • 7-10 years of relevant IT experience.
    • PMP certification strongly preferred.
    • Project Management experience required.
    • Ability to lead projects to successful closure with accountability for the delivered product.
    • Strong work ethic with positive and proactive outlook.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
    • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills required.
    • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 experience required.
    • ERP system experience and SDLC methodology required.
    • Data oversight and governance discipline strongly preferred.
