  • Overview

    Ensures that all departments have the products and services they need to run the facility. This includes Raw Materials, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), Safety, Environmental, Construction Services, etc. Creates and maintains vendor relationships to ensure the supply chain consistency and best available cost.

    Responsibilities



































    Oversees and directs the procurement of components for assembly and fabrication for site in compliance of Company policies and procedures. Strategizes with management in assembly and fabrication areas to plan procurement activities and allocation of resources.



    Manages procurement activities, including analysis of purchasing requests, negotiation of prices, and placement of orders.     Assists with more complex negotiations and/or negotiations involving critical materials.  Reviews and approves all vendors and sources.



    Ensures purchase orders are completed in a timely manner and delivery of on-time orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels.



    Develops and implements procurement policies and procedures for site in compliance with Company policies and regulatory requirements.     Creates standards and advises staff regarding procurement methods, scope and terms of supply agreements, supplier sources and short and long-term procurement plans.



    Performs cost benefit analysis, project estimates for materials, strategic purchasing plans and contingency plans to maximize profit or minimize loss caused by unplanned events in collaboration with site management.



    Reviews and approves contractual agreements, service agreements, and subcontracts. Defers most complex legal agreements to Corporate.



    Manages staff, including providing coaching and training, setting goals, evaluating performance, planning staff assignments and development, and making and approving people management decisions (e.g. recruitment, promotions, terminations, and salary changes).



    Looks for opportunity to get employees involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.



    To follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.



    Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.


    Qualifications













    Minimum Required:



    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field


     

     



     


    Minimum experience required














    Minimum Required:



    At least 5-8 years of progressive experience


     

     



     


    Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required









    Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel. Experience with inventory and vendor management, employee management, pricing and contract negotiation, and ERP.



     


    Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position.









    CPSM, CPIM (or equivalent), APICS, and ISM certifications preferred, but not required.
