    Manchester Tank & Equipment Co. has been a trusted industry leader in the design and manufacture of steel and aluminum low-pressure DOT cylinders and ASME pressure vessels for the storage and transport of propane, chemicals, compressed air and other industrial applications since 1946.  We are currently recruiting for a Master Mechanic/Electrician for our Crossville TN location. The Master Mechanic is responsible for the repair/maintenance of mechanical/electrical production and support equipment. The qualified candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.  Position works within flexible parameters with the ability to transition from working self-directed to a team environment with ease.  

    Responsibilities

    • DESIGN AND SKETCH ELECTRICAL POWER DISTRIBUTION AND CONTROL CIRCUITS AS NEEDED.
    • ASSIST SUPERVISOR IN PLANT LAYOUT, ORGANIZATION OF INSTRUMENTS AND ARRANGEMENTS OF POWER DISTRIBUTION EQUIPMENT.
    • PROVIDE ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING IN THE REPAIR OF COMPLEX INSTRUMENTATION.
    • INSURES PROPER ADJUSTMENT OF MACHINERY, USING TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT, REVIEWS AND REVISES MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL PRINTS, SCHEMATICS, SPECIFIES MECHANICAL/PNEUMATIC SYSTEMS INCLUDING, BELTS, PULLEYS, BEARINGS AND OTHER POWER TRANSMISSION CONSIDERATIONS.
    • ASSISTS IN TRAINING OTHERS IN READING/INTERPRETING ELECTICAL PRINTS, SCHEMATICS AND LADDER LOGIC DIAGRAMS.
    • ASSISTS IN RECOMMENDING REPLACEMENT PARTS AND MATERIAL FOR ALL TYPES OF EQUIPMENT.
    • DIAGNOSIS AND RECOMMENDS SPECIFIC REPAIR FOR MAXIMUM MACHINE UPTIME.
    • TROUBLESHOOTS ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND SYSTEMS INCLUDING COMMUNICATION, PRODUCTION, COMPUTERIZED AND CONTROL SYSTEMS.
    • USES AND DESIGNS INDICATING DEVICES, GUAGES, CALIBRATES ELECTRICAL AND PNEUMATIC TEST EQUIPMENT

    Qualifications

    • EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED IN AN INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT.
    • PROFICIENCY AND EXPERIENCE WRITING PLC PROGRAMS FOR INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT.
    • EXPERINCE WITH ALLEN BRADLEY CONTROLS REQUIRED.
